Embodied AI Moves into a Real Theme Park in Zhuhai
A 400,000 m² indoor marine-science destination + 300+ AGIBOT robots = one of the most interesting real-world embodied-AI deployments to date.
Chimelong Spaceship is a large indoor theme park in Hengqin, Zhuhai, China, combining marine science, education, entertainment and immersive attractions.
In September 2026 the park entered a new phase with the large-scale deployment of more than 300 AGIBOT embodied AI robots across entertainment, education, visitor services and hospitality.
Instead of confining robots to a dedicated exhibition zone, Chimelong and AGIBOT are integrating them into the wider visitor journey — where robots can perform, guide guests, support educational activities, take part in games and sports, and provide services in the park and hotels.
This makes Chimelong Spaceship an important real-world case study in how embodied AI can move from demonstrations into a large, continuously operating consumer environment.

It Wasn’t Originally Built as a Robot Park
Robotics was added in 2026 as a new layer on top of an already operating 400,000 m² marine-science resort destination.
The most important point is that Chimelong Spaceship was not originally built as a robot park.
Its original concept combines marine life, science education, exploration, immersive environments, theme-park attractions and interactive entertainment. Robotics was added as a new layer in 2026.
Rather than creating a separate “robot zone,” Chimelong and AGIBOT are experimenting with a broader question:
“What happens when robots become part of the entire visitor journey?”
A visitor may encounter a robot at a performance, during an educational activity, while asking for directions, inside a retail space, during a game, or at a hotel. This distributed approach is what makes the project especially interesting from a consumer-robotics perspective.
300+ Robots Across Seven Scenarios
September 24, 2026 — AGIBOT and Chimelong announce first large-scale integration.
On September 24, 2026, AGIBOT and Chimelong announced the first phase of their large-scale deployment. More than 300 AGIBOT robots are integrated into the park and related hospitality operations across seven core scenarios:
Live Entertainment
Science Education
Guided Tours
Retail Services
AI Companion Experiences
Hotel Services
Sports Competitions
The stated goal is to move beyond isolated demonstrations and place robots in real visitor-facing and operational situations. The figure 300+ refers to robots deployed across multiple operational scenarios, not merely robots displayed at an exhibition.
Nine Key Robot Applications
How AGIBOT robots actually appear across the visitor journey — from stage to hotel to retail.
Robot Performances
Martial Arts · Gymnastics · Tai Chi · Coordinated Shows
Visitors can see robots perform martial arts, gymnastics, tai chi and coordinated shows. The robot becomes part of the entertainment program rather than simply demonstrating hardware.
Human–Robot Performances
Carnival Atmosphere · Bionic Singers
The Sep 2026 launch featured large-scale human–robot performances, including a robot carnival atmosphere. Bionic robots such as “Coral Singer” and “Cosmic Singer” made public debuts. This points to a potential role for humanoid robots as co-performers alongside humans.
Robot Sports
Table Tennis · Manipulation Challenges · Games
Interactive activities include table tennis, manipulation challenges and other physical games. These give visitors a direct view of balance, movement, coordination and human–robot interaction.
AI Science Education
Accessible AI Guides · Hands-On Learning
Robots act as science-education guides, helping explain artificial intelligence and related concepts in an accessible way. Instead of learning about AI only through screens, videos or textbooks, visitors encounter a physical machine that can see, move, communicate and interact — especially valuable for children.
Robot Guides
Wayfinding · Directions · Exhibit Intro
Service robots move through the park to answer questions, provide directions, introduce exhibits and assist with wayfinding. Here the robot is not necessarily the attraction itself; it helps make the attraction work.
AI Companions
Conversational · Multi-Turn · Interactive
Robots designed for conversational interaction, interactive activities and multi-turn communication allow visitors to engage more personally. Companionship is one of the areas where embodied AI could eventually become a major consumer category.
Retail Services
Customer Assistance · Commercial Environment
Robots support commercial activity by providing information, assisting customers and handling service interactions. This tests whether robots can perform tasks reliably in a real commercial environment rather than only in controlled demonstrations.
Robot Hotel Services
Park → Hotel → Park · Hospitality Ecosystem
The collaboration extends into hospitality. Robots welcome guests, hold conversations and assist with hotel operations, creating a potentially continuous experience: Park → Hotel → Park. This moves closer to a robot-enabled tourism ecosystem.
5G-A Robot Infrastructure
With China Mobile · 300+ Machines Safe Ops
AGIBOT, Chimelong and China Mobile established a dedicated 5G-A network to support responsive interaction and stable connectivity in high-traffic areas. The system also includes multi-robot coordination, centralized management, operational safeguards, network security, privacy protection, and charging and fire-safety measures. Operating 300+ robots around ordinary visitors is fundamentally different from running a single robot on a demonstration stage.

That makes the park a valuable real-world test bed for embodied AI.
The 20,000th AGIBOT Robot
A production milestone meets a real-world deployment milestone — all at once.
The September 24 launch also marked the delivery of AGIBOT’s 20,000th production robot to Chimelong. This connects a manufacturing milestone with one of the company’s largest real-world tourism deployments.

Robots in the Chimelong deployment
First-phase figure across entertainment, education, wayfinding, retail, companionship, hotel and sports scenarios.
“Do not confuse the two figures: 20,000 = AGIBOT total output; 300+ = robots deployed at Chimelong.”
Three Models of Robot Theme Park
Chimelong Spaceship represents a distinct third model compared with the other parks in this series.
Masan Robot Land
“Robotics becomes the theme”
Galaxy Robot Park
“Robots become the entertainment”
Chimelong Spaceship
“Robots become part of the operating environment”
This third model may ultimately prove the most significant. The long-term question is not only “Can people enjoy watching robots?” but:
Can robots become a normal part of the places people visit?
Announced Plans vs. Current Deployment
The August 2026 strategic agreement outlined a broader tourism-robotics ecosystem.
The August 2026 strategic agreement between AGIBOT and Chimelong outlined broader plans, including an immersive robot theme park, large-scale robotic animal experiences, robot circus performances, cyber-themed parades, robot-enabled hotel services, science education, guided interpretation, park performances, and a joint embodied-intelligence laboratory.

What Is Chimelong Spaceship Normally?
Marine science, exploration and entertainment — across 15 themed areas.
Chimelong Spaceship remains a large indoor theme park centered on marine science, exploration and entertainment. It features marine life, science education, interactive exhibits, themed areas, amusement attractions and immersive experiences across approximately 400,000 m² and about 15 themed areas.
“The robot experience should be understood as a new robotics layer integrated into a much larger destination — not as the entire park being converted into a robotics museum.”
Part of Chimelong Hengqin Resort, it sits alongside Chimelong Ocean Kingdom and several resort hotels on Hengqin island, Zhuhai, adjacent to Macao.
Why This Matters for Consumer Robotics
Lab → Theme Park → Resort. Three tiers of human–robot operating conditions.
Robots here are exposed to families, children, tourists, large crowds, commercial environments, hospitality settings and educational contexts — many of the conditions consumer robots will eventually face.
A Laboratory asks…
“Can the robot work?”
A Theme Park asks…
“Can the robot work around people?”
A Large Resort asks…
“Can hundreds of robots work around thousands of people as part of a real service ecosystem?”
That is what makes Chimelong worth watching.

From Robot Attraction to Robot Environment
Three destinations, three questions — and a hint of what consumer robotics might actually look like at scale.
Masan Robot Land — Can robots become a theme park?
Galaxy Robot Park — Can robots become entertainment?
Chimelong Spaceship — Can robots become part of the environment in which people spend their leisure time?
The most interesting aspect is not simply the 300+ robots, but the range of roles they perform: performers, educators, guides, companions, retail assistants, sports partners and hotel service robots. The park is testing something closer to a robot-enabled tourism ecosystem than a conventional robot attraction.
“AI is increasingly visible on screens. Embodied AI changes the relationship: the AI has a body. At Chimelong that body can walk, talk, move, perform, teach, guide, play, serve and interact. Visitors do not merely read about embodied AI — they encounter it in physical space.”
Quick Verdict
A conventional robotics museum or a park consisting entirely of humanoid robots.
A major indoor theme park where 300+ robots are being integrated into entertainment, education, visitor services and hospitality.
